Our approach to sharing

At SLV LAB, we believe that innovation flourishes when knowledge and tools are shared openly. With our open-access ethos, we aim to make our data and resources available with as few restrictions around use and reuse as possible.

How we share our work

The default licence applied to SLV LAB data and resources is Creative Commons 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).

SLV LAB occasionally applies more restrictive copyright licensing when necessary. You'll find the specific rights statement for each resource clearly displayed on its individual page.

Using SLV LAB resources responsibly

When working with SLV LAB materials, we ask that you respect the ethos of open access and publishing and consider how these resources are being re-used. When using our resources, we ask that you:

  • Give credit where it's due: Please attribute work to SLV LAB and any original creators.
  • Share your process: Communicate any modifications you make to the works.
  • Respect cultural context: Be culturally aware and respectful to any people or things represented by the original work.
  • Continue the cycle: Consider making your derivative works available under Creative Commons licences.
